Shine Like They Did
In this life, we are all given moments to shine, not just when life is easy, but especially when it’s hard.
I had the privilege of witnessing my sons, Leo and Trent, shine in more ways than I can count. Through joy, through pain, through the unimaginable reality of facing terminal illness, they never stopped shining. Their courage and faith lit up every space they entered. They taught me that even in suffering, there is beauty. Even in loss, there is legacy.
“Those who are wise will shine like the brightness of the heavens, and those who lead many to righteousness, like the stars for ever and ever.” (Daniel 12:3)
There is hope beyond this life. But while we are still here I encourage you to shine. Shine in your family, and your friendships. Shine in the little things and the big ones.
Shine in the storm, just like Leo and Trent did. Their light didn’t go out. It lives on and it invites us to carry it forward.
