Pillar of Strength
There are moments in life when we feel worn down. The weight we carry seems too heavy and our own strength feels like it’s slipping away. But even in those moments, we are never standing alone.
“God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.” (Psalm 46:1)
This verse reminds me that strength isn’t something we always have to muster up on our own. Sometimes, our greatest strength is found in surrender. When Leo was first diagnosed with a terminal illness I knew I couldn’t do it alone. Jesus whispered softly, “You don’t have to.”
Leaning into the One who never grows weary requires belief in knowing He will not forsake us.
Jesus is our pillar of strength. He is unshakable with a love that is not fleeting or conditional. He is found in the people and things that surround us.
Jesus graciously provided me with an earthly visual of this strength within Trent. Trent took his muscular structure and warped it into a spiritual force, displaying Jesus’s presence in the world.
Jesus is a friend that we can call on. He lifts us when we fall and surrounds us with grace when we feel unworthy. In His promises we are renewed and find courage. In His love we are forever held.
If you’re feeling weak today, remember the One who walks with you is mighty. And because of Him, you don’t have to be strong alone.
